In June 2008, the concept of the macabre and playful band < ELM was created, but only in early 2009, put into practice.
The band was born in Harajuku (Tokyo), cradle of many indie bands in Japan.

A band of Visual Kei style, their name was inspired by the Wes Craven series of horror movies "A Nightmare On Elm Street" and the band members are knew as "ELMER" - the residents of Elm Street.

Its members include JEKYLL on vocals, RUA on guitars, 27-NINA- on bass and NEKU on drums, and all them came from already known Visual Kei bands - with special emphasis on the bands Mareydi†Creia’ (bass), Kamizake Boyz (vocal) e Rucid (guitar).

Besides these ones, the band still has as official members: CANDYMAN, the Rabbit; JOKER, the Paperman; and CHARLIE, the Puppet. And they are very present all time on stage, during the concerts, and CANDYMAN presents their website.
