Not less than 400 people came on February, 11th to the tiny "Shibuya Milkyway" with the overall capacity of 250 people. They wanted to see the first part of the two-day gig they arranged to support their new release, the album under the title No Reason in the Pit. The next day the venue was as overcrowded. It was the day of the second performance of the ROACH tour.

Though it was not a one man show, several bands came to support ROACH. They were:
EACH OF THE DAYS
FEAR FROM THE HATE
Remembering Sensation
THE TWISTED HARBOR TOWN
Dolls realize

Dolls realize were opening the show. They made the atmosphere in the venue grow hotter and hotter with the songs from the album It’s Doors, Not Walls. Fans immediately raised their fists in the air, starting to wave them back and forth under nu-metal beat: recitatives altered with melodic choruses and heavy guitar riffs. The sound crashed onto the audience with such force and energy that by the second song everyone was clapping their hands cheering the band. The vocalist asked the audience to arrange a free circle area and made a sing to start moshing. People followed his instructions enthusiastically, and started running around in the pit and doing 2step moves. It was such a crazy energy radiating from the band and the crowd that one couldn’t suppress the desire to get into the mass of people. A huge circle was cleared once again, people went on dancing. The vocalist addressed to the crowd, egging them on to dance till they drop. But it was only the beginning of the show.

THE TWISTED HARBOR TOWN was up next. People started headbanging fiercely. From the very first song one could hear approving screams from the audience. Show’s emotional lyrics spoke to the heart. Fans started screaming in encouragement during bridge parts, too. On the next song people raised their hands and started jumping, slowing down a bit during melodious parts, when they waved hands from side to side, singing choruses along with Show. Then the vocalist paused to announce the release of their new single, Greed and Love and Hate. Soon everyone was dancing again.

Next band to come to the stage was Remembering Sensation. When Isamu, the vocalist, showed up in front of the audience, people roared approvingly. People started moshing in a second, whirling in the centre of the audience area like a hurricane. Isamu came forward, to the very edge of the stage. Fans from front rows grabbed his microphone to sing together. On the MC Isamu congratulated ROACH on the release of their new album and announced the next song, Say Goodbye. Fans went on banging their heads and waving hands during slower parts. Everything went quiet for a second, and a blue light grabbed the silhouettes of the band members out of the darkness. The vocalist screamed, and fans went on waving in time with the melody. Next song was D.S. from the band’s fourth demo Say Goodbye. Isamu poured water onto the crowd that started dancing even more fiercely right in the next moment. The vocalist went forward to the center of the hall, and screamed the chorus surrounded by fans. In the same time the vocalist from Infection jumped onto the stage and started singing together with Isamu. In the end Isamu jumped into the crowd, and yelled into the microphone, lying on fans’ hands.

FEAR FROM THE HATE took their turn. They started their set with Do You Hate me?, and the pit reappeared in the middle of the audience area immediately. People started dancing like there was no tomorrow, but it was just the beginning of all the fun.
- There is no reason in the pit, right? So, let’s mosh! – said Lidy, the vocalist, and announced the heaviest song from the album Liberation from Sorrow. The energy poured from the stage, the music of FEAR FROM THE HATE reached every corner of the venue; enveloping the listeners and making them dance and move. A circle was cleared once again, as the time as come to show what real moshpit is. Fans welcomed the next song, Last Kiss Diary, with a great hurricane of applause. The stage flashed with yellow light. Fans initiated stage diving.
- And now! – said the vocalist, - Let’s start our trip!
And the song he announced was PAINT A TRIP PARTY. People put their hands up and started jumping, cheering the band with applause during the bridge. Dancing and moshing didn’t stop for a second.
- And the last go! - spoke the vocalist to the crowd. Fans started moshing in the pit twice as hard; everyone started jumping again in time with the cheerful melody of the song.

The time for EACH OF THE DAYS has come. Blue lights flooded the stage, band members appeared in front of the audience. The show went on in its crazy pace; the atmosphere was getting hotter in the venue. And it seemed that there were even more people in the hall now.
- Let’s rock out on the ROACH party today! - roared Norio, the vocalist, and the audience area transformed into huge moshpit again. People ran, danced, and dived from the stage.
The print on the vocalist’s T-shirt said: “Stay positive”
- Next song is Scarface! Let’s go! – Norio screamed. And another round of forceful moshing started. The vocalist lowered the microphone, and the fans grabbed at it and sang "Oh my God!".
- Once again! – shouted the vocalist, and the fans screamed the lyrics once more time. Last song of their set was Heaven. Fans literally went crazy, furiously moshing and dancing in the pit. Gradually the song lowered its tempo, and during the bridge people had a few seconds to have a rest, but soon the neckbreaking tempo returned, only to slow down again soon.

Finally, it was high time for the fans to meet the headliners of the show. ROACH started with No Reason In the Pit. The lights went down and green lasers started roaming around the venue. Since the very first sounds fans began stage diving. In the bridge part vocalist Taama danced 2step right on the stage. When Make Here Hell started, fans started jumping and waving their hands. Taama jumped with the others, his silhouette was almost surreal in the lighting. In spite of heavy music ROACH play, people in the crowd were smiling and obviously enjoying themselves. ROACH proved that hardcore music can also bring positive emotion.

With the beginning of Be Hardcore in Kin Town fans started a round of furious headbanging. They never stopped jumping with their hands high in the air. How could they still have enough energy to do it?
Isamu, the vocalist from Remembering Sensation, appeared suddenly on the stage. He screamed the final part of the song together with Taama, then jumped into the crowd. Fans cheered him, clapping their hands.

The MC started: “We released our previous CD, BREED OF THE SUN, last February. And here comes No Reason in the Pit, just a year later. We thought we would play in Okinawa only, but there are so many people who support us here in Tokyo. Can you imagine, each time I have to go here by plane! (laughs) But I am really happy to stand on this stage, to look at your happy faces. I couldn’t even imagine so many people would ever come to support me. I love Tokyo and all of you guys!”
After the touching speech the band continued the set with MY FRIENDS FOREVER. Fans made a circle and grabbed each other by their hands, singing the chorus along with the vocalist.
At the end, the crowd divided into two parts and crashed in the wall of death. Taama jumped into the crowd.

Fans started screaming for the encore, and ROACH played one more song - For You, I will. This time it were the musicians themselves who initiated stage diving. Fans raised their hands, trying to touch Taama, the vocalist. Soon the members of other bands that performed that night started jumping into the crowd. In the end, Taama slid the guitar with its fretboard against the corner of the amp. This sound marked the end of the show. Tokyo fans of ROACH know well what to do in the pit, and proved it once again on this hot and energetic gig.

Nippon Project would like to thank ROACH for their collaboration.
