Artist: MUCC
This tour was the occasion for you to visit some countries for the fourth time. Are you more confident when you play in front of an audience you already know?
We remember the faces of the fans who come see us every time, so they encourage us. But more than that, we were happy to see them again!
On the other hand, you visited some new countries like Russia. How was it?
Every city we visited for the first time gave us an enthusiastic welcome.
Especially Russia, it was the first day of the tour (and we’ve never been there before) so we were nervous a little bit, but at the end of the day, we were so glad to perform in Russia as an opening of this tour!
Last year, you participated at the Taste of Chaos. In which way this tour was different from your “usual” European tour?
Going on a tour with many bands and visiting many cities was so stimulating, so fun.
This tour made us tough, and made us learn a lot of things.
During the tour, you had some days off. Did you take advantage of it to visit the cities? Which one did you prefer?
We had many shows during this tour so couldn’t go that far, but I took a walk in Mexico City. I love there!
At some venues, the fans spent the night outside during some days. Are you touched by these actions even if it’s a little risky?
It’s very cold out now in Europe and not safe being outside at night, so we’re worried about that, but at the same time, it’s amazing to know that they were waiting for us from late in the night and early in the morning. It’s so touching.
Two years ago, you recorded the PV of Flight in Paris during the concert. Why did you choose to do it there? Was it complicated to install all the materials to do the recording?
We chose Paris because the audience in Paris is awesome!
And yes, we had a tight schedule (as well), so it was hard to set up everything.
It seems you have a special affection for the French audience. Why?
Since we started going on Europe tour, we visit France every single time.
We love there because the French fans are great and France is like our hometown in Europe. We have the same feeling for Germany.
Your European tour is done. Did you enjoy it? If you could change something about this tour, what would it be?
Yes, we did!
There is nothing we’d like to change. The things happened during the tour are everything to us.
Since Ageha, your singles are produced by ken from L’Arc~en~Ciel. How did you come to work with him?
ken told us that he like our songs and when we talked about that, we just came up with the idea that we work together next time.
Has your music evolved thanks to him?
We could take in the music and the way to make music we’ve never know before.
It helped our music evolve a lot.
Each of your albums has different sounds. How did you find the inspiration for these new sounds?
Miya: The inspirations come from everywhere. But basically, I find an inspiration from my favorite things.
What can you say about your new release Freesia?
It’s very MUCCish. This song contains both new thing and MUCC’s originality.
MUCC is now more than 10 years old. Did you think you’d go so far when you started the band? What can we hope for your future?
Yes, it has been 10 years, but we still have so many things to do.
We won’t stop, we’ll keep moving forward.
After Europe, you were flying to South America. It was your first time there, were you nervous?
We weren’t nervous at all, it was actually very nice! We could explorer the new world and it was a great experience for us.
Is there still a country where you would like to play and you have not yet visited?
Anywhere someone who is waiting for MUCC is there.
During your free time, do you do some activities together? If yes, what sort of activities?
Basically we do what we want to do on an individual basis, so we don’t do anything special. Well, we go have dinner together though.
The last question is for YUKKE: did you taste some European fruit? Which one?
YUKKE: I had a lot of watermelons! It was yummy!
